It only takes a few minutes and all you need is your National Insurance (NI) number:

  1. Tap Accounts > All accounts

  2. Tap Cash ISA > Open Cash ISA

  3. Review your pre-filled details (tax year you'll subscribe for, your personal details, and your tax residency)

  4. Enter your National Insurance number

  5. Tap Authenticate and your account is ready

Deposit or withdraw money into your Cash ISA

You can only deposit money into and withdraw money from your Cash ISA using your Tide Business Account .

  1. Tap Accounts > Cash ISA > +Deposit or - Withdraw

  2. Enter the amount you want to deposit or withdraw and Confirm

The maximum amount you can deposit per year is £20,000. This is the annual ISA allowance for all your Individual Savings Accounts set by the UK government. The deposit limit resets at the start of every tax year.

If you pay back the money you withdraw, before the same tax year ends (5 April), this won't affect your annual ISA allowance (currently £20,000)

  1. Go to the Accounts tab

  2. Tap Statements and documents

  3. Under Documents tap Cash ISA declaration form or Summary box

Transfer your money from Tide to another Cash ISA provider

Transfer your money from Tide to another Cash ISA provider

If you wish to switch providers and keep your tax-wrap status, make sure to use the transfer out process:

  1. Contact your new provider to create a new account

  2. Request a transfer out with your new provider

  3. If the transfer is possible, we'll confirm via email

Keep in mind that currently you can't transfer your money from another provider to Tide.

Closing your Cash ISA

Closing your Cash ISA

  1. You’ll need to move your outstanding balance to your main Tide account

  2. Tap the Support icon in the top-right of your app or email us at hello@tide.co 

  3. We'll help you close your account 

  4. On the day your Cash ISA is closed, we’ll pay any interest earned that month to your main Tide account
