About the role

In this pivotal role, you will define the strategy and product vision for Tide’s payment acceptance and acquiring services, with a sharp focus on scaling and driving product-led growth. You'll be at the forefront of delivering our mission to save members time and money by offering best-in-class acquiring services that integrate seamlessly with other products on the platform.

 As Director of Product you will

  • Define and execute a product-led growth strategy for Tide’s acquiring services, delivering strong revenue growth.
  • Be the subject matter expert for all things Acquiring (internally and externally), providing leadership and expertise across the organisation.
  • Manage commercials for acquiring services, ensuring strategic partnerships and revenue targets align with Tide's broader objectives.
  • Focus on optimising product-market fit using data-driven insights and agile methodologies to iterate and improve acquiring services.
  • Develop and execute on a multi-product pricing strategy, focusing on product adoption, new revenue streams development, profitability and acquisition
  • Design analytical-driven A/B tests focused on driving positive margin growth and acquisition
  • Innovate and optimise Tide’s acquiring products, driving seamless connectivity with other Tide products (POS, Paylinks, etc.).
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as product, engineering, design, analytics, marketing, and finance to align business objectives and scale operations.
  • Build and scale the Acquiring Product Operations vertical across multiple geographies, supporting rapid product expansion.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of product managers, analysts, and operations experts to foster a high-performing product-led growth culture.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and regulators, ensuring Tide remains competitive and compliant in all markets.
  • Create fraud risk models, monitor and analyse customer transactions to detect fraudulent activities and trends and prevent financial loss for the company
  • Collaborate with risk, compliance, and member operations teams to ensure acquiring services are safe, secure, and scalable.

What we are looking for

  • Deep understanding of product-led growth frameworks, especially in high-growth environments.
    Deep subject matter expertise in merchant acquiring, with experience in the UK, multi-country European markets.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead globally distributed teams and work closely with C-level executives.
  • Familiarity with agile product development processes, including OKRs, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
  • Experience with integrating acquiring services into a larger platform ecosystem, such as POS and online payment processing.
  • Commercial ownership, with experience delivering product KPIs (onboarding, activation, retention, monetisation) and product level P&Ls, 
  • Knowledge of PSPs, scheme networks, and acquiring banks is a must.
