About the role:

As Financial Controller you will be responsible for financial controls and reporting for our companies in Bulgaria, Serbia and other locations as required as the business grows.

  • Managing the month-end reporting ensuring a timely close process in line with group deadlines.
  • Preparing management accounts; reviewing the month-on-month movements and providing variance analysis.
  • Design and implement processes to maintain a strong environment of financial control 
  • Manage VAT compliance and reporting.
  • Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
  • Support the implementation of SAP ERP system, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Liaise with external accountants and other external and internal advisors to ensure regulatory compliance. 
  • Preparing audit packs and being the main point of contact for the external audit of the entity
  • Being responsible for accuracy and completeness of AP, AR and cash book.
  • Co-ordinate with various departments to smoothen the vendor payment process, payroll process, fixed asset management, and other related finance functions.
  • Oversee treasury management activities, including cash flow forecasting, monitoring and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate records
  • Assisting with compiling other ad hoc management and regulatory reports, supporting ad hoc finance tasks as required.
  • Support the wider finance team as required 

What we are looking for: 

  • You have a minimum 3 years experience in cost accounting, management accounting or financial accounting, bookkeeping and banking reconciliations
  • You are qualified or working towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification 
  • You must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You have good attention to detail
  • You are proactive and take the initiative
  • You are process driven and like to implement best in class processes and procedures 
  • You may also be experienced with Xero or SAP
