ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an exceptional Head of Country Operations, to be both a strategic and operational partner to the Managing Director of Tide Germany, driving key initiatives and ensuring the seamless execution of business priorities. You work hand in hand with the Germany MD on internal and external communication to promote Tide’s growth and brand awareness in Germany.
SOME OF THE THINGS YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Strategic Support: Work closely with the Managing Director to set and track strategic goals, ensuring alignment across teams. Act as a trusted advisor by providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Performance Management: Constantly track and analyze key KPI’s to support Tide’s success in Germany. Drive business process reviews and assist in planning and delivering growth strategies.
- Organisational Development: Help scale the Tide country organisation, establishing and improving operational processes. Work with various Tide teams to support German operations including opening a Berlin-based office.
- Projects and initiatives: Oversee and coordinate cross-functional initiatives tailored to the German market ensuring close collaboration across global and regional teams. Lead special projects including business case development.
- Market Expansion: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in Germany, translating insights into actionable strategies. Support the launch of new products and services tailored to the German market.
- Communication: Prepare internal and external presentations and support PR activities to enhance Tide’s presence in Germany. Represent Tide at external events and act on behalf of the Country Managing Director when required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You have 7+ years' relevant experience in a similar role, such as Chief of Staff, Senior Project Manager or Head of Operations, preferably in fintech, consulting, or high-growth environments.
- You have the ability to see the big picture while managing intricate details and ensuring flawless execution.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
- You’re comfortable working in a fast-moving company where priorities can change and processes may need to be created from scratch.
- You have very strong project management skills and can foster collaboration with teams outside of your direct control by building strong relationships.
- You have a strong Hands-on-Mentality getting “things done” and you are highly self-motivated.
