About the team

The Treasury team acts as 1st LoD and is at the forefront of driving financial excellence and supporting strategic growth. The Treasury team mission is to optimise the company's financial resources and investment, manage financial risks, ensure robust liquidity and effective cash management and comprehensive treasury operations.

Moreover the team collaborates closely with the product and business team to align financial strategies with business objectives. By contributing to impactful financial decisions, the Treasury team aims to enable sustainable success and growth.

About the role

As the Lead of Treasury Operations, you will play a crucial role in the team to maintain our financial health, ensure efficient treasury operations, and drive our growth. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cash management:
    • Design and implement the global cash management strategy to optimise usage of cash. 
    • Manage and monitor wholesale credit limits to ensure adequate liquidity for operations minimising counterparty risk.
    • Ensure optimal bank accounts structure and compliance with banking regulations and oversee all the activities related to the company’s bank accounts management.
  • Managing relationships with partner banks:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with banking partners.
    • Oversee the Know Your Customer (KYC) process.
    • Ensure all banking relationships comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Payments/transfers execution and collateral management:
    • Execute and oversee all payment and transfer activities.
    • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant policies.
    • Manage collateral requirements, including monitoring collateral positions.
  • Setup and maintain policies, processes, and procedures:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain robust treasury policies.
    • Establish efficient processes and procedures for treasury operations.
    • Regularly review and update policies to adapt to changing regulations and business needs.
  • Deputise for the Treasurer when required:
    • Act as the primary backup for the Treasurer in their absence.
    • Take on the Treasurer's responsibilities to ensure continuity in treasury operations.
    • Engage in strategic decision-making and stakeholder communication.

What we are looking for 

Tide is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead of Treasury Operation. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 9 years of experience with Treasury Operations and Cash Management
  • Prior experience in financial services – preferably in technology-driven & scale-up environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cash-flow forecasting, flow of funds and payment systems
  • Self-starter, independent and extreme ownership mentality
  • Experience overseeing controls and mitigating operational and financial risk
  • Experience with SAP Cash Management system
  • Experience utilising BI reporting tools (Looker/Power BI/Tableau etc.) is desirable
  • Experience working within a dynamic and strong paced environment
  • Experience in managing and leading operations across multiple locations and countries
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
