About the team
The product team of Member Accession Marketing team drives the global onboarding journey across all markets. As the entry point of Tide, we play a critical role in welcoming our customers whom we proudly call members. Our mission is to create a smooth, frictionless onboarding experience that leaves an amazing first impression of our product. By ensuring our journey is seamless and intuitive, we help set the foundation for lasting member relationships and sustained business success.
About the role
- Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for fintech products, with a focus on merchant onboarding.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape related to merchant onboarding in the fintech sector.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and operations, to define product requirements, prioritise features, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Define and prioritise merchant onboarding features and enhancements based on customer feedback, business objectives, and market demands.
- Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including gathering requirements, creating user stories, wireframing, prototyping, testing, and launching new features or enhancements.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of product releases, and actively participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.
- Monitor and analyse product performance metrics, user feedback, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and drive product optimization.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, product messaging, and support documentation for merchant onboarding.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements in the fintech and merchant onboarding space.
What we are looking for
- A proven track record of 3 -5 years in product management
- Proven experience as a Product Manager in the fintech industry, specifically working on merchant onboarding or related processes.
- Strong understanding of fintech products, payment systems, and merchant services, including onboarding and risk management.
- Demonstrated experience in product management, including developing product roadmaps, defining requirements, and successfully launching new features or products.
- Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies, with experience working in cross-functional Agile teams
- Should have a solid understanding of tools like JIRA, Confluence, Aha!, looker/GA/BIRT etc
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable product features.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality products on time and within budget.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in the fintech industry is a plus.
- Prior experience in merchant onboarding platforms, API integrations, or payment gateways is highly desirable.
- Understands how ‘system’ – quickly!
