Launched in 2017, Tide is now used by over 1 million small businesses across the world and is available to UK, Indian and German SMEs. Headquartered in central London, with offices in Sofia, Hyderabad, Delhi, Berlin and Belgrade, Tide employs over 1,800 employees.

Tide is rapidly growing, expanding into new markets and always looking for passionate and driven people. Join us in our mission to empower small businesses and help them save time and money.

About the team

Working with over 100 lender partners, Partner Credit Services connects business owners to the right funding: For founders moving their business to the next level. For entrepreneurs negotiating a tough market. For leaders looking to adapt their strategy. We help business owners get the right finance in place, so they can trade, plan and grow with confidence.

About the role

Partner Credit Services has ambitious growth plans for 2024 and beyond. The performance of the sales team will have a major bearing on the business’ ability to deliver success in line with those plans. PCS significantly expanded its footprint in the UK last year (post Funding Options’ acquisition by Tide) and also established two new customer-facing teams serving the UK market in India and Bulgaria. The intention is to double the size of the PCS sales organisation with circa 80% of this growth offshore in India.

We have hence created a new senior role for an experienced sales and business leader to join the team to instil and maintain a high performing and well disciplined sales culture across the PCS UK sales teams based in India. The role will ensure that PCS has local oversight and supervision of the fast-growing PCS teams undertaking what could effectively be described as a matrix-management role with locally based Team Leads ‘dotted line’ reporting at the local level to the successful candidate whilst maintaining ‘hard line’ reporting on a functional / team basis.

The role will be focused on achieving (and ideally exceeding) daily, weekly and monthly KPIs relating to Sales input activities, ensuring all hygiene factors are met, performing local Quality Assurance checks such as call listening and acting as a point person locally for people related activities.

As a Senior Sales Leader, you will

  • Provide local oversight and supervision of the PCS UK Sales Teams based in India – acting as the PCS leader locally
  • Assume responsibility for the PCS Credit Finance team locally
  • Work closely with the Sales Team Leads for our Unsecured, Asset Backed and Commercial Coverage businesses to drive the success of the teams based in India
  • Work with the PCS Sales Performance Lead to structure training and development for the India based Teams
  • Work with the PCS Leadership team and the PCS Sales Performance Leads to establish and maintain a high performing sales culture
  • Work with local stakeholders across the broader business to ensure that the PCS India teams are compliant with local regulations and requirements
  • Provide oversight of processes and act as a local escalation point for complaints, Risk &  Control issues, local recruitment and onboarding of new joiners
  • Continue to embed a culture of continuous feedback to drive the business forward (continuous improvement)
  • Solid Line reporting into the Commercial Director, Partner Credit Services; dotted line to local India leadership

What we are looking for:

  • 10 years+ relevant industry experience, ideally in Sales
  • Proven leader with at least 3 years experience in a people leadership role
  • Deep knowledge of SME finance in the UK (or other market) including different lender products / product classes
  • Experience of covering the UK market
  • Highly data driven – able to analyse / interpret / present complex datasets
  • Capable of working with a high degree of autonomy and local responsibility
  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Experience of Salesforce (or similar workflow based CRM system) ideal but not essential
  • Experience of coaching or mentoring would be a plus

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Possess superior communications skills
  • Experience of presenting and reporting to senior leaders /Exec team members within a business
  • Be required to provide regular progress updates to the Senior Leadership teams within PCS
  • Will be expected to think tactically and strategically over the longer term as the team continues to grow and expand
  • Work independently with a high degree of autonomy (and local responsibility) as well as collaboratively with other stakeholders
  • Establish a broad network across the organisation including Sales, Operations, Product Management, People Management and Marketing
  • Be obsessive about delivering the highest level of customer service
  • Demonstrate a results-oriented work ethic with impeccable attention to detail, determination and drive
  • And lastly, be absolutely passionate about small businesses and helping them achieve their dreams

  • OPD Benefits
  • Mental wellbeing through Plumm
  • Learning & Development Budget
