Why was my SEPA transfer not credited instantly to my recipient?

There are several reasons why a SEPA transfer might not be credited instantly to your recipient:

  1. Recipient Bank Does Not Support SEPA Instant: Not all banks are participants in the SEPA Instant scheme. If the recipient's bank does not support instant transfers, the transaction will be processed using standard transfer times.

  2. Technical Issues: Occasional technical issues either at your bank or the recipient’s bank can delay processing.

  3. Compliance Checks: Banks routinely perform security and compliance checks on transactions, which can delay the processing of transfers, including those intended to be instant.

  4. Transfer Details Errors: Incorrect account details or errors in the transfer instructions can lead to delays.

Apple Pay also keeps your purchases private. When you pay with your Tide card via Apple Pay, Apple doesn’t keep transaction information that can link the purchase back to you. You can see transaction information on your Apple device and in your Tide app, but Apple doesn’t store this data on their servers.
