How will the payment link transaction appear in the account statement?

Card readers use sensitive card data, so you must check that you have received the right one, and that it hasn’t been tampered with:

  • If you have sent an payment link, then all transactions relating to this will appear in the account statement from Tide Payout

  • If you have made payments using an invoice payment link, then all transactions relating to these will appear in the account statement from Tide Platform Ltd *Tide Member’s Name*

Please note that many customers will initiate chargebacks if they see payments to companies that they do not recognise. Therefore, please ensure that you make your customers aware of what wording will be displayed on both the billing and statement descriptors for their transactions.

  • Check that the box hasn't been opened, and the red security seal with the barcode is unbroken. 

  • Break the security seal and remove the device from the box. Check that the serial number (S/N) matches the one on the box.

  • Inspect the device. Check for missing screen seals, screws, additional wires, labels, holes, and anything inserted into or attached to any part of it.
