Can I apply from outside the UK?

Yes! However, you must have a UK residential address and phone number. Applicants who are not based in the UK may apply for a business bank account, as long as they are directors of a company registered with UK Companies House. In some cases, we may have to complete additional checks in order to process your application.

Don’t forget – you’ll need to switch your App or Google Play store to the UK to download Tide.

  • On Smart, you’ll get 1 free Expense Card

  • On Pro, you’ll get 2 free Expense Cards

  • On Max, you’ll get 3 free Expense Cards

All card transactions in GBP (home and abroad) are free, but currency exchange fees may apply to payments in foreign currencies:

  • If you’re on our Free plan, we’ll charge you 1.75% currency exchange fee, for non- GBP card transactions, If you’re on a Smart, Pro or Max plan, we won’t charge you this fee

When your team members withdraw money at an ATM, our standard ÂŁ1 for cash withdrawals will apply, in addition to the currency exchange fee. Some ATMs may charge a separate fee too, for using the machine. Please see our Tide Terms for full details.
