Making Deposits

My cheque has been rejected. What happens now?

If your check is rejected, we’ll explain why, in an email to the address linked to your Tide account. Cheques can be rejected if:

  • They’re incomplete or unsigned

  • Contain a mismatch of information

  • Are older than 6 months (from the date written on the front)

  • Are smudged or faded, or have been folded, torn or crinkled

If you still need our help after you’ve received that email, tap ‘Support’ in your app.

You can only deposit a cheque once. Make sure all information you give us is accurate and true, and no alterations have been made.

If your cheque is older than 6 months, don’t try to deposit it. Instead, contact your payer and ask them to issue a replacement.
