In which currencies can I accept payments?

You can accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express contactless cards from UK or foreign issuers, but all transactions and settlements will be in GBP. 

For now, we don’t accept payments with cards issued in these countries: 

  • The name on the cheque must be the same as on your account

  • The cheque must not be torn, folded, crinkled, faded or smudged 

  • The date on the front of the cheque must be within the last 6 months

  • The person making out the cheque must have signed it

  • Amendments to the cheque are marked with the payer’s initials

If you’re a Sole Trader, the cheque must be issued in your personal name. Cheques issued in your trading name won’t be accepted, unless you’ve verified that name. To verify your trading name in the app, tap the ‘Profile’ icon in the top-right > ‘Profile & Settings’ > ‘Business Details’ > ‘Trading Name’.
