Why does Call Protection involve me giving Tide access to my contacts?

To know when our associates are calling you, and ensure the call is branded correctly, Tide needs limited access to your contacts. It helps us to see if the call is legitimate. We won’t have access to your call logs, messages, or any other sensitive information on your phone if you grant these permissions.

We do not store, sell, or share your contact data. Your privacy and security are our top priorities. Tide only uses the required permissions to perform Call Protection and adheres to strict privacy guidelines. 

You can revoke contact permissions at any time through your device settings, however, without contact permissions, we can’t do Tide Caller Verification in the app or perform Caller ID. This means you could miss out on being able to identify legitimate calls.
