I’m expecting a payment - when will it arrive?

You should know that inbound SWIFT payments can take up to 5 business days to arrive in your Tide Business Account. If a payment takes longer to arrive, you should request a 'Proof of Payment' from the sender. They can get this from their bank. When they share the 'Proof of Payment' with you, tap 'Support' in your app and we'll assist you. Inbound SWIFT payments will incur fees. Here's a break down of how you'll be charged according to your Tide membership plan: Tide Free: No free payments included, you’ll be charged 20p per payment Tide Plus: 20 free payments are included in your plan. You’ll be charged 20p per GBP SWIFT payment over this allowance Tide Pro: Unlimited free payments are included in your plan, so you won’t be charged a fee Tide Cashback: Unlimited free payments are included in your plan, so you won’t be charged a fee The number of free payments that comes with your Tide plan include both domestic and international payments. Fees are collected as part of our monthly billing process and will be included in the 'Total Fees' section on your bank statement. You cannot make SWIFT payments from your Tide account. We're working to offer new features to our members and if outbound SWIFT payments become possible, we'll share this with you.

  • Faster Payments These are generally processed immediately and the money will arrive in your account within minutes. Some banks can take up to two hours to process Faster Payments so they might take longer to arrive.

  • Bacs If you’re expecting a Bacs transfer, it will take up to three days for the money to arrive in your account.

  • CHAPS CHAPS stands for Clearing House Automated Payment System. These payments are usually for high-value transactions like buying a property or car. When we receive a CHAPS payment before 3pm, it will arrive in your account on the same working day between 4:10pm and 7:10pm.

Any CHAPS payments received after 3pm will arrive in your account after 4.10pm on the next working day.
