What is a Cashier, and who can I give this team member role to?

The Cashier role gives your team members the ability to collect payments using the Tide Card Reader, and Tap to Pay on iPhone, without having to rely on the Account holder to initiate the transaction from their Tide app first. Cashiers can also view the statuses of the payments they’ve accepted in the app. 

Cashiers must be 18 years or older and to have an active UK mobile. They won’t have the option to view account balances, access statements, or initiate bank transfers. Card Reader and Tap to Pay on iPhone “Settlements” details in the app, are also unavailable for this role.

You remain responsible for your business and any actions or omissions of your team members to whom you assign the “Cashier role”. Any transactions initiated by the cashiers and any costs associated with them are binding to your business
