Why was my Tap to Pay on iPhone payment declined and what happens next?

A Tap to Pay on iPhone payment can be declined for various reasons, including insufficient funds in your customer’s account, or technical issues in contacting their bank. 

If this happens, you can ask your customer to use a different payment method, such as a different card or a digital wallet.

You can also try to collect the payment with a card reader, if you have one, or send them a Payment Link, that you can create directly in the app.
