I have previously used Tide Accounting to submit a VAT return - can I connect an additional bank account to my add-on?

If you’ve previously used Tide Accounting to submit a VAT return, you can’t connect an additional account from Tide, or an account from another bank, to your add-on. This is to keep your previous VAT returns and transactions intact, and for accurate HMRC recordkeeping. If you’ve generated a VAT report, but haven’t submitted yet, you’ll need to delete it before adding a new account. In the app, tap ‘Admin’ > ‘Accounting’ > ‘Vat Manager’ > ‘Delete Report’. Then, to add a new account, go to ‘Admin’ > tap the 3 dots next to ‘Accounting’ > ‘Tide Accounting’ > ‘Settings’ > ‘Bank accounts’ > ‘Connect a new account’.
