How do I update an employee’s National Insurance number in Tide Payroll?

You can do this on Tide on the web. Simply log in and click on: Admin > Payroll team > Work & Pay > National Insurance > Update.  

If you need to update the National Insurance calculation method for a director, you can do this in the first month of the tax year. 

Updating this method in any other month can lead to confusion in HMRC, and result in inaccurate calculations.
