Why is my National Insurance or tax negative this month?

Negative National Insurance or tax calculations can occur for various reasons, including:

  • Correcting previous overpayments.

  • Adjustments for statutory payments, like Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP).

  • Changes to tax codes or corrections of past errors.
